Today we had our last session in the Life Education van, it was a very fun session and we learnt lots of new things. We were writing down the decisions that we would have to make in the future, we were also writing down our goals and the things we would like to achieve when we are older. And then we had to write the ways and a plan of how we were going to achieve our goal in the future, my goal is to become a Barber when I grow up, I am going to get there by finishing college successfully and then going to Hairdressing school and graduate as a Barber. My second goal is to become a Part-time Music Producer, I am going to get there by finishing college and I will get some money either from my Parent's to buy the Studio equipment and once I make some money out of Music I will pay them back. Today I was stating the ways I deal with stress or something like a problem and ways to calm myself down or make myself happy. The 4 main ways I cope with stress or a problem is... 1. Listening to good music to calm myself down, 2. Eating food, because I feel good when I am eating yummy food, 3. Playing sports or getting outdoors and hanging out with my mates and 4. Bloom's Taxonomy Current Events - The Olympics
WALT: Use Bloom's Taxonomy thinking skills to critically summarize a current event.
Today I worked with my Classmates Siale, Amelia and Rosana. We were Reviewing a article about the polluted waters in Rio and how it is affecting the Rio 2016 Olympics, we were reviewing the article using the Bloom's Taxonomy thinking skills. We did our work with Pen and Paper and manage to finish but left one Idea unfinished. Today I think we managed our time really well and we were efficient and got lots of work done! Next time we could improve on talking a little bit less, doing work before adding our decorations and being much more organized when presenting our work. For remembering we were talking about who was the main person involved in the article, we were also talking what was the main idea of the article and were also talking about when was the event. For understanding we had to come up with 5 key ideas that relate to the article and then we had to come up with a short summary using those 5 key words. For applying we had to come up with an idea of who we would like to interview about the article and the problem and we also had to come up with questions to ask that person. For analysing we had to come up with evidence to support our article. For evaluating we had to come up with the positives and negatives about the article.
